SCIENCE WEEK . . . . . . . .

We will be holding exciting activities all week to bring out the skills in our budding scientists.

There were so many things to cover, we had to start early, so on Friday we began with Lego Robotics and K'Nex challenges. The year 2, 3 and 4 children made Lego cars and programmed them using algorithms, while other year groups had engineering challenges of their own using Lego and K'Nex.

This week we have the following planned:

Monday: Forensics Day. The children will be detectives helping solve a crime. Who is the culprit, Mrs Lawrance, Mr Leader or Mrs Smith?

Tuesday: All about animals. We will be welcoming reptiles into the school and hoping that the eggs that have been incubating will start to hatch

Wednesday: Science Workshops. All the children will be turning their hand to some practical hands-on activities which will bring science to life - both inside and outside the classroom!

Thursday: Years 5 and 6 will be going on a "Mars Mission" while the rest of the school hone their questioning techniques, talking about a variety of "what if?" questions and doing some work in our wildlife area.

Friday: We have our science themed careers fayre where the children will get to speak to people who work in the field. We hope it will inspire them to become the next generation of scientists.

Please do join us on Friday afternoon for Science activities with your child and at our Chemistry Cafe from 2.15pm.
